Millions of people today use Instagram as a means to quickly share and edit photos with friends and family. The image format resembles Polaroid's of the past, and the program is circulated via Google Play and the Apple App Store for smartphone use. How does all this relate to the new Mercedes-Benz lineup found here at our Milford, DE showroom? Our favorite luxury automaker is now using this social network to showcase the new Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, following in succession to an online video program series by Casey Neistat which effectively did the same.

Bernhard Glaser, VP of marketing for the U.S. division of Mercedes-Benz, mentions that the campaign is a superb way to build on the success of the videos (the first two reached 600,000+ views) as five hand-picked Instagram photographers spread out across the country will get behind the wheel of a production level Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and document their journey.

The final portion of the photo project will include a consumer element. Anyone can submit an Instagram handle to www.CLAtakethewheel.com which will convert their feed into his/her own entry portfolio. The five previously chosen photographers will then judge the public submissions and the winner will receive a lease of the vehicle and the opportunity to take the 6th road trip.
