Meet Our Team

Charlie Burton is the 5th Generation owner of the i.g. Burton Auto Group. A Graduate of Roanoke College, Charlie initially did not work in the family business. He pursued a career in the automotive finance and insurance business working for Ryan Associates for several years. One day in the 90s, Charlie got a call asking him to come back and run the family business. Since then, he has taken ownership and expanded the company to what it is today. He is most proud of the growth of his employees. "It's a great feeling knowing you give your employees the opportunities to develop and grow and be successful."

MJ Lofland has been with the i.g. Burton auto group since 1995. He is the first person in company history to hold co-ownership of an i.g. Burton dealership since the company's establishment in 1908. In 2021, he joined Charlie Burton - President of i.g. Burton Auto Group - in purchasing i.g. Burton of Newark. Over the years has been the Director of First Impressions, Sales Professional, Salesperson, Sales Manager, and General Manager. In 2007 he was promoted to the Operations Management Team as Director of Sales. Today, MJ is the Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of i.g. Burton Auto Group. In his spare time, MJ enjoys hunting and spending time with his family.

Lisa started her automotive career in 1999 working at a private repair shop where she wore many hats, including receptionist, car washer, parts person, and customer service representative. It was there that her love for the automotive business began. After a few years, she applied for a job at a local dealership and started as the Service Receptionist before becoming a Service Advisor, and then Service Manager. Her love for all things outdoors eventually drew her to the Delaware beach area. In 2008 she joined i.g. Burton as the BMW Service Manager. After working at i.g. Burton BMW for over a decade, she earned the opportunity to be part of the i.g. Burton Auto Group Executive Management team. When away from the dealership, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with their two dogs, traveling, camping, and paddleboarding.

Bernadette Jasmine joined the Executive Management Team of i.g. Burton Auto Group in July 2019. She is currently the acting HR Director. Bernadette has over ten years of experience in the automotive industry previously working for General Motors as a District Manager. Prior to the automotive business, she worked for a town government and ran a daycare center. Bernadette enjoys family time on the beach, fishing, and kayaking.

Greg has been in the car business since 1996. he has held many positions in the car business, parts delivery driver, Warranty Administrator, Service Advisor, Service Manager, and Service Director. When he is not working, Greg enjoys time with his four children, and 4 grandchildren.

Caleb started with i.g. Burton Auto Group in 2007. Since then, he has held several positions, including Service Porter, Parts Advisor, Parts Manager, and Import Parts Director. He feels that i.g. Burton is a great company to work for because it has helped him grow his love for the automotive industry. Caleb is now Parts Director for all i.g. Burton Auto Group locations. In his time away from work, he likes visiting Delaware beaches with friends and family, touring local breweries, and spending time with his dog.

Rick started selling cars in 1983 in Baltimore, Md. He has over three decades of automotive experience, including over 15 years with Mercedes-Benz vehicles. In his spare time, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Kyle has been with the i.g. Burton team since 2007. He started his career as a Lot Attendant and has been promoted to many other positions, including Service Porter, Sales Professional, Internet Sales, Internet Sales Director, and New Car Sales Manager. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and boys. They enjoy fishing, golfing, riding bikes, and spending time on their boat.

Mike started with i.g. Burton over a decade ago. He worked his way up through the ranks from Business Development Advisor to Sales and now to the Finance Manager of the Mercedes-Benz location. Mike is a local who was raised on the water. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and anything involving his wife and son.

Brian has held multiple positions within the automotive field for over two decades, including General Manager, Field Service Technician, and Service Consultant.

Ty has been with i.g. Burton Mercedes-Benz since 2020. He worked in the hospitality industry for 15 years before transitioning to auto sales and excels at anticipating the needs and wants of his clients. He loves serving his clients at the highest level and enjoys learning more about the evolving world of the automotive industry. Ty enjoys spending his off time with his girlfriend and Labrador puppy at the beach, traveling, and dining out. #RideWithTy

Sean and his family relocated back to the region from Phoenix AZ, 5 months ago. After his time in the Marine Corps and participating in Operation Desert Storm Sean started in the car business in 1994, with experience in markets across the United States including Alaska and Hawaii, and has represented 12 different OEMs. Sean started in Sales and went on to gain experience in retail team management, marketing, fixed operations as well as Auto, Motorcycle, and RV Warranty administration. Sean has an affliction for anything with a motor whether it has hundreds of horsepower or his John Deere lawn tractor. Sean loves spending time with his wife and 8 yr old Dachshund along with extended family. Sean is a passionate craftsman in a vast variety of mediums from 3D printing to woodworking, making furniture whenever possible with his limited time.

Taylor first started selling Mercedes-Benz in 2017 at just 18 years old. With a passion for anything automotive growing up, his fascination with the three-pointed star began at an early age. Taylor brings to i.g. Burton & Co. over 7 years of automotive sales experience exclusive to the brand. Coupled with his extensive product knowledge and passion for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, it allows him to deliver "The Best or Nothing" experience to his clients. Taylor truly believes that Mercedes-Benz offers the best product on the market, and is proud to be able to deliver a world-class experience to all of his clients here at i.g. Burton & Co.

Ryan started in the car business in 2007 as a Detailer. After leaving for a career in Police work, he returned to i.g. Burton in 2016 as a Service Advisor. When he's not working with Mercedes-Benz clients, Ryan enjoys working on cars, appreciating the outdoors, and pursuing personal fitness goals.

Marc has been in the car business since 2017. He has held many positions in the car business, including Service Advisor, Parts Advisor, and Service Manager.

Donna has been with i.g. Burton since 1985. She's worked with several franchises and held various positions during that time. She has enjoyed the opportunity to learn a great deal throughout the years. For relaxation, she likes to go camping with her husband and friends.

Rachel has worked with i.g. Burton since 2015 and can cover many positions. You'll often find her organizing, filing, or decorating the dealership for the current festivities. Rachel enjoys spending time with her cats and doing art.

Kim has worked in the customer service field since 1988. Her experience includes sales, administration, and being in leadership positions. She enjoys meeting new people and being the first person you see when you walk in the door. When she isn't working, Kim likes to read, write, and do "nerd stuff."

Ronnie has been with i.g. Burton since 2010, when he started as the Director of First Impressions for both our BMW and Mercedes-Benz stores before moving on to the role of Parts Advisor. When he's not working, Ronnie enjoys spending time with friends and family, going for long walks on the beach, enjoying a local craft beverage, and defeating the i.g. Burton Berlin Parts Department in the first-ever i.g. Burton golf tournament, along with help from the rest of the BMW parts team and our BMW Shop Foreman David VanPelt.
