Losing power on your car can be an extremely frustrating experience. One of the most common causes for a battery to lose its charge is due to extreme temperatures. When a car is exposed to any extreme temperature, the battery begins to discharge itself in order for itself and many other components of the car, such as the air conditioner, radio, lights etc.

In cold weather driving conditions, this can cause an immediate issue if it happens too fast. If you are outside of your car with the seat belt off and the battery suddenly loses power, you can be thrown out of your vehicle as a result.

If you are driving down the highway and your car happens to lose power because of extreme temperatures, it can be potentially dangerous. If you are traveling at high speeds on the road outside of city limits and have no power steering or brakes, you can be a serious threat to yourself and other drivers on the road.
