The new Mercedes-Benz lineup here in Milford, DE covers all your bases when it comes to sedans, hatchbacks, electric vehicles, crossovers and SUVs. The one vehicle type you might say is missing from that is a pickup truck. Could a luxury pickup truck exist? It sure can, and Mercedes-Benz is about to bring it to us.
Called the Mercedes-Benz X-Class, these new pickup trucks are set to be on sale in Europe starting later this year. They come with the iconic Mercedes-Benz grille that is synonymous with the brand, along with full capabilities you'd want out of a pickup truck. That includes a possible twin-turbo V6 diesel engine with 4MATIC® all-wheel drive and potentially the ability to carry 2,400 pounds of payload, and tow up to 7,700 pounds.
While at the moment, we cannot say for certain that Mercedes-Benz has plans to bring the truck to the United States, it does remain a possibility and would be a welcome addition to the already stellar Mercedes-Benz lineup of vehicles we have here at i.g Burton & Co.
